YORU CMMOU NITY NEWS WHAT’S NEW? MARKETING CONFIDENCE MONITOR In early March we launched the second wave of results from our Marketing Confidence Monitor; a quarterly benchmark of marketing sentiment supported by Deloitte and Forbes. The results showed us that marketers are more confident than they were in the previous wave (October 2012). This was despite widespread acceptance that there would be limited growth and static investment with organisations appearing to favour low-risk, short term strategies at the cost of less tangible long term brand building. As with the previous wave it was small businesses that came out the most optimistic. Not only are they confident about achieving their growth targets, but marketers in smaller organisations are more positive about their career and job security than their counterparts in larger organisations. The results received favorable media coverage with an interview on BBC News, a story in the Financial Times and mentions in The Telegraph, Evening Standard, Independent and City A.M as well as features in Marketing Week and B2B Marketing. We will look to build on this as we release results from future surveys. The third wave has recently just closed with the results being launched in June 2013, for more information visit the Marketing Confidence Monitor site where you will also be able to view a number of assets including reports, inforgraphics and interviews with the industry leaders who make up the steering group for this project.
